Fortunately, this autumn, you won’t have to put all your eggs in one basket. As part of London Restaurant Festival – which will run between October 1st and 31st – a number of restaurant-hopping tours will again be running. Diners will be able to choose from the Japanese Journey, Carnaby Village, Chinatown Tour and Tapas Tour – each of which were available in 2014. They will also be able to go on the Victoria and Seven Dials tours, which are brand new for 2015 and add to the range of options during the festival.

Rather than choosing one particular restaurant and settling in for your starter, main and dessert, these ‘grub’ tours allow you to sample the very best of a number of different establishments. It’s an opportunity to experience a range of locations, and enjoy the vibe at a variety of restaurants. If one in particular takes your fancy, there’s nothing to stop you from making a booking at some point in the future.

Here’s a little more information about the six tours that will be running during London Restaurant Festival, including dates and times:

1. Tapas Tour

Dates: October 3rd & 4th, 17th & 18th, 24th & 25th

The Tapas Tour includes six restaurants, Camino, Copita, Iberica, Tapas Revolution, Jose, Salvador and Amanda, with a small plate and drink on offer in each. ‘Passport’ holders can visit each of them – three on Saturday and three on Sunday – between 12pm and 3pm. It is possible to walk between the restaurants on foot.

2. Japanese Journey

Dates: October 10th & 11th, 17th & 18th, 24th & 25th

The Japanese tour offers a flavour of the east, with ‘passport’ holders able to visit three traditional restaurants on each day of the weekend. The participating restaurants are Bo Drake, Tonkotsu East, Shoryu, Chisou, Kurobuta and Yashin Ocean House, with each providing a small dish and a beverage.

3. Carnaby Village Tour

Dates: October 3rd, 4th & 10th

Carnaby might be famous for its fashion and its retail outlets, but there are plenty of great eateries to choose from too. Between 12pm and 6pm, ‘passport’ holders can visit six restaurants: Senor Ceviche, Rosa’s, Shotgun, Pizza Pilgrims, Pitt Cue and Antidote.

4. Chinatown Tour

Dates: October 10th, 11th & 17th

The Chinatown Tour also features six different restaurants on the same day, for an oriental ‘grub’ crawl. Rasa Sayang, Plum Valley, Orient London, Dumpling Legends, Nusa Dua and Baozi Inn are all within walking distance of each other, allowing diners to enjoy a leisurely afternoon. Diners can expect great hospitality and some delightful small dishes.

5. Victoria Tour

October 7th (evening), 10th & 11th

The new Victoria Tour – located in an ever-popular destination for food enthusiasts – will take in Tozi, Iberica, Caxton Grill, Mango Tree, Pont St, Daylesford between 12pm and 6pm. Diners will be able to enjoy a small plate and drink in each restaurant over the course of a leisurely afternoon in west London.

6. Seven Dials Tour

Dates: October 17th,18th & 24th

Polpo, Tredwell’s, Kopapa, Vico are among the six restaurants lined up for the new Seven Dials Tour, which is centred around the famous road junction near Covent Garden. Naturally, there won’t be too much walking on this tour, due to the high concentration of eateries at Seven Dials. However, there will be plenty of fabulous cuisine on offer.
